Hedge House

Nestled within the serene enclave of Sunnybrae, Rondebosch, Hedge House has been a cherished haven of comfort and hospitality for over two decades. Established in 2001, what began as a modest three-bedroom family home has since blossomed into a much loved and well-known four-star guesthouse in Cape Town’s Southern suburbs. Today, Hedge House boasts five beautifully appointed en-suite guest rooms, each offering an idyllic and distinctive retreat.

True to its name, Hedge House is fronted by a tall and beautifully tended hedge, behind which lies a saltwater swimming pool and lush, green garden. Our garden invites you to linger, whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee, marvelling at our magnificent views of Table Mountain, lounging by the pool, or unwinding after a busy day exploring Cape Town's many treasures.

We are ideally positioned within walking distance (300m) of a popular, dog-friendly park, sports fields and children’s playground—a favourite amongst families, nature lovers, or those just looking to stretch their legs. For parents, we are conveniently located near some of Cape Town's most well-known schools and have often become a trusted 'home-base' for visiting families coming to support their children’s sporting and cultural endeavours.

Our central location also offers the ideal starting point to explore the Mother City and its many treasures. After a hearty Hedge House breakfast and  just a short drive away (traffic permitting) you can reach Cape Town’s vibrant city centre or the picturesque coastal destinations of Kalk Bay, Simon's Town, and Hout Bay, among many others.
